Hemp Natural Protein Powder review

Alternative supplement

BikeRadar score3/5

Branded as the ideal supplement to support an athletic lifestyle, Hemp Natural’s Protein Powder is a new product produced in Devon, UK.

Hemp protein is a naturally occurring vegetable protein that is packed with essential amino acids and rich in Omega 3, 6 and fibre. It's made using no herbicides, pesticides, additives or preservatives – so no chemical nastiness here.

The powder is hard to consume raw and the smell isn’t too pleasant, but mix it in with a milkshake or yoghurt and it’s surprisingly palatable.

Using the supplement as directed produced no side-effects or discomfort to the stomach. At £9.99 for a 500g tub (over 15 servings) this could prove a cost-effective alternative to protein bars/shakes.

With more than 10 years of experience riding mountain bikes, Oli knows the good from the bad when it comes to gear. He's a total bike nerd and loves few things more than fettling with spangly riding bits. Also, he seems to have a talent for crashing hard but emerging unscathed.
