Limar's Ultralight+ has a light feel and minimal weight, which makes it barely noticeable when you’re wearing it – though its ‘World’s Lightest Helmet’ claim is no longer accurate.

It uses a fairly conventional band with rotary adjuster to cradle the base of the skull, which does reach low enough to cover large heads, despite the helmet’s shallow appearance. The soft and supple fabric straps are well placed and easy to adjust for perfect security.
Three sizeable vents across the front pull in plenty of cooling air, and along with the four above, are covered by lightweight fabric mesh to stop larger insects nestling in your hairline.
The Ultralight+ owes some of its featheriness to limiting the use of the external shell to where it’s most needed. The underside of the rear of the helmet is covered, but not the front half. There’s some untidy edges where the EPS core meets the outer shell, and it looks a little dated compared with some of the most modern helmets out there.
