This subtle little number from IXS weighs just 291g, so it’s easy to forget you’ve even got it on. The in-mould shell is happy to take some rough treatment and the funky tartan padding is comfy and does a good job of absorbing sweat.
With its super-simple styling, the Mallet will look the part no matter what you’re riding, but it does come with a sticker kit if you want to give it a personal touch. The fit isn’t as snug as we’d like, though, and with only seven vents, located right on top of the helmet, things get sweaty quickly.
