Donnelly Cycling, the brand formerly known as Clement Tires, is branching out beyond rubber and into the world of carbon frames.

The company is launching gravel and cyclocross framesets to accompany its gravel and cyclocross tires.

The G//C (gravel carbon) is the new gravel frame. It features a relaxed head angle and longer chainstays than its cyclocross counterpart, the C//C, for improved stability during endurance events.

To that end, there’s also a third set of water bottle bosses on the underside of the down tube. It has clearance for 700cx45mm or 650bx50mm tires.

The C//C (cross carbon) is the pure-bred cyclocross race bike. As you might expect, the head angle is steeper on several of the sizes and the chainstays are shorter for snappy handling. The bottom bracket is several millimeters higher as well.

Shared features

Both of these frames were developed with input from Rolf Singerberger, who previously worked as the head of development at BMC and Eddy Merckx Bicycles.

Shared features of the G//C and C//C carbon framesets include internal routing, flat mount brake mounts, 12mm front and rear thru-axles and use of the BB386EVO bottom bracket standard.

Pricing, builds and availability

Donnelly offers the G//C and C//C as a frameset for $1,999. There are also complete builds with SRAM Rival and Force that retail for $2,999 and $3,999, respectively. (UK and Australian pricing TBC.)

As you might expect, all complete versions of the G//C and C//C roll on the company’s own wheels and tires.

Donnelly’s new gravel and cyclocross framesets and complete bikes are available now for pre-order. The company expects to fulfill these orders by late June.
