Our review
Versatile, but best suited to light touring or commuting

The Back Rack II is highly flexible, offering clearance for mechanical disc brakes and adjustable legs to fit both mountain and road bikes. There’s even a second set of struts supplied for smaller frames.

It’s made from aluminium and the wide platform mixes well with Trek’s – they own Bontrager – Interchange range of panniers and other luggage.

However, there’s no recommended load rating and it’s not the stiffest of designs. We’d earmark it for commuting, moderate touring and light off-road use but, to its credit, it held up fine on a bumpy tour of Cambodia’s back roads.
