A convincing first step into the world of loose and free fitting freeride shorts for Dakine...

2009 is Dakine’s first year making shorts and the range is looking great. It’s kicked off by the Chorus – a great casual freeride short with a three-quarter-length fit and a light baggy style.

Unlike Dakine’s higher end shorts, the Chorus doesn’t feature an inner liner. On the black version, the fabric is broken up with a stencilled Dakine logo in a yellow, blue and purple fade. There’s also a cross pattern in the same colour scheme on the front right and rear left pockets.

The durable single layer fabric and reinforced stitching means they’re robust enough to shake off plenty of crashes, while the casual fit means you’ll be fine wearing them on the bike and when you’re off it.
