Boardman Bikes has announced a new range for children that is to be sold at Halfords. A road, mountain and hybrid bike make up the trio of Boardman Sport junior rides, which are aimed at nine to 16-year-olds.

Designed for younger riders, the bikes use specifically smaller frames with tailored geometries.

The Boardman Road Sport Junior, Hybrid Sport Junior and Hardtail Sport Junior all consist of a butted alloy frame and Shimano Tourney drivetrains, and are priced at £349.99, £299.99 and £299.99 respectively.

Former Olympic Gold medal winner Chris Boardman, who recently sold the Boardman Bikes business to Halfords, said: “I’m delighted to add our new Junior models to the performance stable. I hope they will prove the starting place for adventures and even the beginning of the journey for world champions of tomorrow.”

The bikes are on sale now.
