Brompton bikes are, for the first time, to be sold in select Halfords, Cycle Republic and Tredz stores across the UK from this November onwards.

The bikes will initially be available in 21 Cycle Republic stores and at two Tredz stores. A roll out to select Halfords stores will begin in April 2019. Exactly what stores these will be is not stated in the press release.

Brompton is already fairly dominant in the folding bike market. However, with the fate of Evans — Brompton’s other major national retailer — currently unclear, this move should ensure the brand maintains its presence in both the general and enthusiast markets.

As with pretty much all other bicycle retailers, Halfords has seen enormous growth in the e-bike market and we wouldn't be surprised to see Brompton’s new e-equipped folder taking pride of place in stores.
