Simple, relatively inexpensive, and gets the job done

SRAM will probably be credited for upending the apple cart of aftermarket Garmin Edge computer mounts with its new QuickView and reasonable US$20 / £12.50 / €18 asking price. Simple and effective, it fits well and gets the job done without breaking the bank.

The mount works just as intended, placing the LCD display of newer Garmin Edge computers in front of the handlebars where the screen can be more readily viewed at a glance.

The one-piece plastic construction is lightweight but sturdy at just 18g (with a stainless steel T25 bolt), the sculpted lines look a touch less industrial than some of its competitors, and the quarter-turn interface locks the computer very firmly in place without feeling clumsily sticky or overly tight.

Installation is a cinch: just undo the bolt, flex the clamp around the bar, and tighten down. As with Garmin's similar Out-front mount, though, the clamp is rather narrow and can sit awkwardly angled on the bar if you're not careful. And, as with the Tate Labs Bar Fly, we wish the QuickView placed the computer a bit lower down.

Otherwise, the SRAM QuickView works well and won't empty your wallet, so there's little to complain about.

The sram quickview places newer garmin edge displays in front of the bar but we wish it dropped the computer head a little lower, too: - James Huang/Future Publishing
