Bargain priced, easy-fit rear fender that protects your bum, but not your bike

Unless you want dirt sprayed all over your backside, a rear mudguard is a good idea during the winter. Aero bikes don’t usually have enough space between the wheels and frame to fit a full set of mudguards, so keeping your bum and bike clean always involves compromise.

This new solution from BBB simply clamps on to your seatpost in seconds, without the need for tools or faffing about. It does an admirable job of shielding your bum from the elements and there’s plenty of clearance so that cack doesn’t build up under the mudguard and rub on your tyre. The major downside is that it’s too short and too high to do much about keeping your bike clean. So you’ll still need to spend time hosing it down after every ride.
