Our review
A secure and stable way to stow and transport bikes. Simple to use and works brilliantly

Pros:

Quality construction, can be flat-packed, easy to use, properly secure and stable

Cons:

I haven’t found one yet

The Bike Stow comes in three sizes, two bike, three bike and four bike, all available in two different finishes. I've reviewed the pricier, laminated, four-bike model here but if budget is an issue look to the unlaminated version of the same size, which comes in at £199. If it's just two bikes you're looking to transport, prices start at £149.

Simply put, this is a back-of-the-van solution to bike storage that’s exceptionally well designed and executed.

Folding flat, the whole rack can be removed when not in use, which is handy if you need space. Opening it out takes seconds and the cross-way arms are held by magnets to keep them securely in place.

Just drop the back wheels of each bike into place, slide down the aluminium laser-cut plate and turn the locking screw to hold it.

The fit was perfect for my van (a Volkswagen T6) and with four bikes loaded there was little movement so I didn’t bother strapping the rack to the van floor — but there are options for this and plenty of instructional videos on the website to show you how.

The simplicity and ease of loading is a real plus — slotting into place in one quick move — when you're dealing with crud-covered bikes, and knowing that they're properly secure and won't topple over due to poor strapping brings peace of mind.

I love it. Your van needs one.
