Our review
Lightweight technical top benefiting from a good build quality and some high-quality features

Made mostly from closed mesh polyester panels, the Oakley is the lightest jersey we've seen in a while, and it put in a good showing in the environment chamber.

Our skin temperature increased in the first few minutes, but not massively, and then it stabilised with very little variation from there on in, which meant we had no trouble staying comfortable.

The fabric, which like the Specialized Trail Top uses coconut shell fibres (Cocona) to improve the performance and keep odours under control, mops up sweat well, although it does hang on to more moisture than most – particularly the slightly heavier brown panels.

The neck is cut low and the mid-length zipper doesn’t reach right to the top, so this isn’t the best jersey for shutting out draughts when the sun goes down. But the seams are mostly flat-stitched, so there’s no chafing to bug you. There are three pockets in the lower back, a silicone gripper around the hem and a handy sunglasses wipe sewn inside.
