Royal SP Plus 44 Racing Kit review

This is basically the race kit worn by DH legend Steve Peat, and it's some of the best looking around. The jersey has a few cool touches, such as small elastic cuffs, a comfy V-neck and a cut that works well with or without armour.

Well made race kit that flies the Brit flag and will make your mates jealous

This is basically the race kit worn by DH legend Steve Peat, and it's some of the best looking around. The jersey has a few cool touches, such as small elastic cuffs, a comfy V-neck and a cut that works well with or without armour and both tucked in or hanging out. The graphics are fantastic too.

The shorts are also superb - they're knee length with a rubber gripper waist and adjustable leg closures to get the fit just right - I wore the large size, which was spot-on for my 34in waist. Outside, the shorts feature a zippered fly with a pop-button flap to keep your tackle covered but easily accessible, huge vented panels on the legs and a small pocket with a velcro closure. A wicking mesh liner keeps you cool or warm, depending on the weather.
