In weather as bad as recent months they'll be needing them very regularly too. Aztec have a long and distinguished heritage of producing very fine, long lasting and solidly performing pads and the good news is that things don't seem to have changed. These pads not only have stiff alloy cartridge backing that'll immediately increase power over rubber block pads but they also have a built-in pivot for easy non squeak adjustment. The dual compound pad mix lasts much better than most too, while still providing consistent braking with no snatching or sudden judder.
