The e*thirteen definitely punches above its low(ish) price. The guide has a sturdy taco to keep the chainring well protected. It’s not completely silent but doesn’t make much noise, and there’s no feeling of drag while pedalling at all.
We like the hinged top guide too which made maintenance far easier. The steel backplate does make it quite heavy and it’s a little fiddly to fit due to the lack of captive nuts.
