The Time crankset is a two-piece carbon assembly with a hollow steel axle that weighs just 480g.
The system is simple and easy to fit and employs loose-fitting cartridge bearings that are supported by a central inner and outer sleeve that eliminates lateral loading of the bearings.
The ASX is available as a 39/52 or as a compact with a 34/50 tooth combination. The teeth are pinned and ramped to aid the passage of the chain and the Teflon coating helps to reduce noise. While it is an expensive piece of kit it is well made and should prove to be tough. It comes in a choice of either matt or gloss finishes.
