Our review
Sturdy, but under-geared out of the box. You’ll have to mind your ankles

Race Face’s budget all-mountain double was built for reliability. Both rings are steel, there’s a thick-walled chromoly axle and lip seals on the crank arms contact the bearings when installed.

Movable spacers behind the cranks give some chainline adjustment. There’s plenty of metal in the I-Beam section forged 6066-T6 arms, though they’re wide at the axle interface. If you like to move your feet on the pedals, you’re likely to bash your ankles on them.

The stock 22/32T chainrings mean low overall gears – fine on fall-line plunges but you’ll be spinning out on fast, pedally trails. There’s no 24/36 option, unlike with RaceFace’s pricier chainsets, but the lightweight bashguard will cover a 34 if you want to gear up.
