Salsa's classic Flip-Offs come in a myriad of options. As well as many colour choices (blue, green, black, red, silver and the ubiquitous rasta), they're also available with either steel or titanium axles in various pairings.
We tested a stainless steel pair. As expected, the nylon cam started to wear with use, but performed perfectly. The handle is shaped to give you maximum leverage, and with plenty of space behind, it was very easy to open and close in a hurry, while the nicely shaped, nearly-flat nut was a doddle to twiddle up tight.
