Helps improve handling at speed, with no noticeable effect on shock feel. Use of titanium pushes the price up compared to rival products, though

Offset shock hardware has secretly been in use by World Cup downhill racers for a while now, and is a great way to adjust your bike’s geometry.

Burgtec's offerings are machined from grade 5 titanium and come with DU bushes, so everything you’ll need to get your bike slacker and lower is included.

Fitting is the same as with standard shock hardware – just make sure you line up the holes within the shock eyelets so that they face each other (or away from each other if you want to steepen your head angle).

We achieved a 1° change in head angle and 5mm drop in bottom bracket height with the Burgtec shock kit, but this will vary depending on frame design and whether the mounts use 6mm or 8mm bolts. The Ti parts have stood up well to two months of riding in typically wet and gritty British conditions.
