The Garmin Edge 520 is perfect for performance-minded riders who want to keep track of all their data during training. Featuring live tracking, Di2 integration, smartphone alerts and connectivity, with perhaps more than you'll ever need, the 520 is one of our favourite mid-range GPS devices.

If you want to track absolutely all your stats, we'd recommend going for a bundle that includes a heart-rate strap and cadence monitor.

The updated Garmin Edge 520 Plus builds on the existing 520 platform. Key amongst the added features are the improved battery life and automatic re-routing when following a pre-programmed course. 

As with all Garmin units, the navigation is excellent and the computer should have all the features you could ever need for your training and riding.

The Edge 820 looks very similar to the Edge 520, but it adds some additional navigation functionality that lets the GPS do on-the-fly route planning. That's handy if you like to go exploring during your rides or have a tendency to get lost.

It can feel hard to get away from Garmin in the GPS world, but there are some alternatives out there. This Lezyne GPS isn't the most refined design available, but it offers a lot of features for the money.
