Hill Climb Diaries: part 8 — podiums, PBs and boutique upgrades

A successful weekend and some very, very tasty upgrades

Check out part 8 of BikeRadar's Hill Climb Diaries on our YouTube channel

It’s Friday, which means it’s time for your weekly dose of Reuben, Jack and Joe gurning their way through the latest episode of BikeRadar’s Hill Climb Diaries.

The three had a successful weekend, with Joe and Reuben tackling Team Tor 2000’s promotion on Saturday, where Joe took 2nd place overall.

Sunday then saw Joe and Jack ride Bristol South CC’s event at Burrington Coombe, with Joe once again making the podium, taking third overall and the fastest time for a Bristol South rider.

Meanwhile, Reuben headed north to Matlock CC’s event on Bank Road — the location of the 2016 nationals — where he got his best result of the season.

Reuben and Joe also took a trip to Pea Royd Lane ahead of this weekend’s national championships to scope out the climb.

Lastly, we look at some very tasty last-minute upgrades and get our final training update from coach Tom Bell.

Don’t forget to watch all the other episodes and if you’re riding or spectating this weekend, be sure to come over and say hello!
