A special edition Sidi Wire road shoe has gone on pre-order to celebrate Chris Froome's (Team Sky) Tour de France triumph – and there are no prizes for guessing what colour they'll be!
The Italian shoe maker's Froome Limited Edition retails at US$549.99, and also features the shield and spear badge from the Kenyan flag – a reference to where the British winner of the 100th Tour was born.
Sidi said the yellow shoe, worn by Froome during the race, will be given a very limited production run, and will come specially boxed.
Orders must be lodged with the company by 24 December and the shoes will be shipped in March.
Sidi enjoyed a banner Tour de France. The winners of the four jerseys – yellow, white (Nairo Quintana, Movistar), green jersey (Peter Sagan, Cannondale) and polka dot (Quintana again) all wore the top of the range Wire during the race.
